Archille and Euphrasine (Lauzon) Drouillard built their home in 1896 next to the Island View Hotel and in 1922 moved it nearer the shoreline to make way for the building of the Island View Garage, now the Edgewater Marina. It was owned by brothers Wilfred and Harry Drouillard (see below). Harry was the first mayor of Riverside; 1927 to 1933. Archille's home was later sold and is now located just west of the Shoreline Tower Apts. It was purchased by Wilfred Drouillard whose son Norman and family still reside there.
